The Tory party seem to have some focus group research telling them that the best strategy in this election is to behave like completely unprincipled punts at every opportunity and then go on TV to argue that nobody cares about the lying, faking videos or rebranding their low follower twitter account as a fact checking site.

I mean, the acts themselves serve no purpose as they are transparently bogus, so presumably they want to be caught out because voters love a scum bag.

I really hope they are wrong about this because otherwise that film Idiocracy has become a documentary.
