Dudley

Before I went to bed last night, I checked how long it was going to take me to get to Dudley: a shade over two and a half hours. So, up at five, out by half past, allowing for a coffee stop (or two), I'd comfortably be there for my nine o'clock presentation.

And, indeed, I was up at five to five, albeit in the car just slightly after half past. Arrival time... 08:39! What? "Congestion near Stoke". Well, I thought, that would clear before I got anywhere near there but no. With one hurried coffee stop, I arrived at Dudley NHS few minutes before nine.

Fortunately, the presentation and subsequent meeting went well and I was heading back north before twelve. The journey back was far better and here is the view out of the back door just a couple of minutes before four (after I'd had a recuperative nap).
