Wadworthshire
Welcome indeed! This is the Three Magpies at Sells Green, west of Devizes. It's a miserable night, cold and wet, wet and cold, but a packet of "Real Handcooked" crisps along with a Golden Crisp Ale from Wadworths (or something like that, I had it bought for me) was just the ticket. We had strolled around Devizes for about half an hour, all we could manage in the damp chill, and needed warming.
The pub looks like an old staging post on the outside, but it is fine and warm and reasonably modern inside; it lies just outside the entrance to our caravan site, also a staging post on the way to see no 1 son in Somerset, so a short stroll was all that was needed for a pre-prandial pint.
And I needed it: I forgot to disconnect the breakaway cable from my car before attempting to position the car next to our caravan and the the connecting carabiner broke. It's probably what it's meant to do, but it's going to cost a bit to get fixed as I know that I can't do it (having checked last year). Oh well . . .
