Single Tree Sky Line

I've photographed this tree before. It stands on the horizon in the parklands of Dyrham House. Today the sky is bland and blank. Indeed, if it were a couple of degrees colder it would cry out "snow is coming"! 

The isolation of the tree against the sky is captivating, and the pastel colours in the sky were in fact there waiting to be brought out with a little help from the computer. Just one tree, on the sky line.

I saw my first 2019 party political poster today. It feels, even though there are only three weeks to go, nobody wants to take a hand what's about to occur. I've never felt so impotent before an election as I do this time.
