Closing ring

After a check-up visit at the hospital we headed into the Cotswolds for a breath of fresh air! We wandered around the village of Syde, the next village to Brimpsfield where on new year's day we'd seen a cockerel's step . On the edge of Syde you come across the lovely church of St. Mary's which has this beautiful medieval door with a fifteenth century closing ring. It is without question one of the most beautiful doors I've ever seen and had the pleasure to use!
