Rain

I have finally caught up with my blips! :)

Well, the storm forecast to start at midnight last night never happened. It got rescheduled to today. The authorities expected so much disruption, G had notification that schools were ordered to be closed for the day! GREAT. It gave us the chance to do a weekly shop as we missed doing that yesterday.

G took the two pictures used for this blip from a moving car! She's done well. Both pictures are of the Burj Khalifa. The extra was taken on our way to Festival City, the main shot, on our way back.

Today was the one day that we could have driven out to get some photographs of the air displays but it was affected by the rain. I went back to the office to receive some training. We actually got somewhere today. The process has changed quite a bit, so it's going to take me a little time to get up to speed.

I'm glad it just rained steadily today and we didn't have a deluge like a couple of weeks back! I wonder if the government regret cancelling school, though I have to say, the President's brother died yesterday and we are in an official period of mourning for three days. Classical music is being played on the radio and flags are at half-mast.
