Ruined

This is a field of sweetcorn which I walked past this morning. It hadn't been harvested when we had all the storms and rain a few weeks ago. I think it may now be beyond saving, and in any case the harvest seems to be over.
In the foreground you can see an empty beercan, they are always the same brand, and are chucked out of car windows quite regularly around here. Terrible isn't it?
More gardening this afternoon, as we have had three consecutive days without rain now!
