On fire
Wow, what a great sunrise. Such a great sky just before the sun rose. It was freezing with a hard frost but I was wrapped up so not too bad and it did not feel slippy just crispy.
The rest of the day past in a flash and it was soon time to go to Brownies. We laid the tables out like the Great Hall at Hogwarts with lots of lanterns and candles (not real ones ).We started by writing invisible messages. We then told the story of Little Red Riding Hood that was part of a Skill builder. They knew some very gory versions. We then talked about their fears, mainly spiders but one girl choose Brexit and another a monster under her bed.We then asked them to draw a picture of their fear or decorate the photo they had brought in with funny stickers to make them look ridiculous. One of the girls said she was not scared of spiders now :)
One of our young leaders is off to Malawi in a couple of years and is busy fund raising so the second half of the session we used a giant globe to find out where it was, found out what H will be doing when she’s there and tried to balance buckets on our heads, some were really good especially those who go to Highland dancing , they must have good balance , some were not so good so the balls inside went flying ;)
My Dad’s in hospital at the moment with kidney and gall stones so worried about him , not easy when I’m so far away.
