Early morning

With no wind and nets up in a neighbour's garden as well as ours, I was up early today opening the nets to see what I might ring. About ten birds was the answer with nothing exotic but still interesting. 
Another neigbour was having a drinks do tonight to "clear some space in her drinks cupboard". I should have spotted the signs but at 2:30am had singularly failed to do so. 
Self-inflicted I suppose.
