New Mensa Venue

Today was earmarked for finding a new venue for our Bishop’s Stortford monthly Mensa meeting. We started with a late breakfast in Café Thyme before heading to the Tourist Information shop; it was closed!
 
However, I had done quite a bit of research before we left home and I also knew of a café that I thought might be suitable. It needed to be big enough for us to stay a while as well as cater for all tastes. It was and today’s picture shows the new venue. As well as cake and sandwiches they do cooked meals and all day breakfasts; best of all they have gluten free wraps. Hopefully there will be something to cater for all tastes; if we find it does not work, then I will have to find somewhere else. Although a little further to walk from the train and the bus station, there are also car parks nearby for those travelling by car; so I do not think there should be any problems. I have booked the January meeting and will book each month at the end of each meeting.
 
I had allowed plenty of time to find a suitable venue, but this was the first place I tried. We had a walk around the shops and then had more coffee in Café Thyme before coming home.

It was very cold and frosty this morning and only reached a temperature at GMT noon today of three degrees Celsius.
