The big day in New Zealand road cycling. Our national championships.

Don't sneer, NZ has come a long way in cycling and today featured several Commonwealth and Olympic medalists, along with Tour de France riders.

The race involved multiple laps with a brutal hill climb - the hill I live on. So for me it involved a short stroll to a great viewing point at the peak of the climb.

Superb day, wonderful racing. Great stuff.
