Perfect Day

It's been one of those days you hope you'll get in the Lake district but hardly ever do. A hard frost this morning and cloudless blue all day. We met friends and walked up Pike o' Blisco. A great walk but pretty scary at the top when every way we tried to get down off the top there seemed to be giant rocky slabs covered in shiny ice. Really quite worrying. Anyway we made it eventually and got to the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel just as it got very dark.
Phew.
Now well fortified with Lamb Henry and malt whisky . A great day.
