Walk in Sants

Back blip


We went out for a wander this afternoon which turned into a very long walk through Sants through interesting streets that we'd never walked along before, and then back through Eixample for a late lunch/early roast beef dinner in The Philarmonic.   This building looked lovely in the sunshine. 

After Saturday's excitement when we got caught up in a listeria-infected product recall by Aldi, which resulted in our cancelling a wee early Christmas gathering of friends in our house last night, today was a more normal day.  We'd eaten a pack of blinis on Thursday night and on Friday night I saw the poster on Aldi's shop door advising customers not to eat the product and take it back for a refund.   We cancelled our party because we were a bit distracted and thought that we'd have to go to hospital, get a blood test and perhaps be put on antibiotics and didn't know how long it would all take.  However, we now know that we're not in the high-risk groups.  We'll keep an eye out for any food-poisoning, flu-like symptoms, but so far we're both fine.
