Fill 'er Up

An exciting but tiring weekend! Early train to Portland on Saturay. Upon arrival at 3:00 pm, a Lyft ride to the Hyundai dealer in Beaverton to complete the new car purchase. Much signing and initialing of forms, then reluctantly leaving the car, another Lyft to Ecliptic Brewing for good food and beer. Our server remembered us from our previous Portland trip. After imbibing and dining, off to our one-night Airbnb stay. 

Up early Sunday and a bracing walk to an excellent breakfast place that C had found through her diligent research, then back to the car dealer for a tutorial on operating the car before starting the long drive home to Bellingham.

I had plenty of practice with the windshield wiper controls on the way home. At one point the visibility was down to about 100 yards. The theoretical maximum range of the car on a full charge is 258 miles -- not quite enough to get us home, so we had to top up the battery at a fast charger while we had a rest and some food.

The car was a delight to drive -- very comfortable, and quiet (of course).
She is resting in the garage now on a slow charger which will add enough juice for additional 60 miles.
