Classic Jersey

Johnny & Hanges is a local New Jersey restaurant located in Fair Lawn. It is not a chain, and has been around since 1939! Either they are very smart or very dull, as this place is hopping every day, from 11 am until 9 pm.

Today's Blip is a J&H Chocolate Milk Shake, ordered up by my daughter. I rarely eat anything from here, as the caloric count of their menu items frighten me.

What is special about Johnny & Hanges is that they deep fry their hot dogs, and are famous for their Chili Sauce, which is made on premises. A year or so ago, they started to sell fresh cannoli, a Metro NYC favorite. In fact, all of their food is cut and made on premises - no frozen deep-fried food.

I have to admit that I took the lid off of this shake and took a taste, as the shakes from this place are out of sight.

Today, the Love Child had to settle for "Smell-O-Vision."

Sometimes, being an adult rots. No Double-Cheeseburgers, no onion rings, and no delicious shake.

Kind of makes me want a Baby Ruth bar. :-(
