Post op day 3

The church family were lovely this morning.

But poor LongLegs.

His sternum is moving since surgery so he apparently needs a support cast; his drains wounds have oozed and he’s needed new stitches; his pain medication has been changed again; and he has a mild chest infection - but he can’t cough easily because of his chest. And he’s got double vision at the moment too.

He is really trying to be a good patient but everyone can see how hard it is. He’s being brave. And the bed isn’t long enough. :-\

MightyMouse and HatBox came visiting with us. MightyMouse occupied himself for a while, sculpting out of bark and fake tree leaves from the indoor decor at Barts. “This is a Christmas tree”, he tells me, as he sends me his first version of a Christmas wish list.
