Slow start to the day after the excesses if yesterday but got going around 10. Had a large breakfast which made us both Gail and myself feel better.

Dropped Gail at Waverley forget train back to Inverness and headed to the shopping centre to pick up a brochure for the Cunard cruise we had seen online. Spoke to a very helpful travel agent who happily handed us a brochure. Headed off for a coffee and a cake - needed the sugar and caffeine and decide it couldn’t do any harm to ask the travel agent to price up the cruise for us.

Long story short we are now booked for a 14 day transatlantic in December next year - 7 days to New York on a literary cruise (authors booked so far include Ian Rankin, Prie Keith and Alexander McCall Smith), spend the day in New York and then head back to Southampton. Eek! The travel agents are giving us some extra onboard credit than we could have got by booking directly.
Home to use up whatever we could find in the fridge for dinner before a lovely long soak in a hot bath.
Early night I think!!
