Meeting Dotty

Today the boys and I met Dotty, her fella and her two boys . We had a lovely time and Im so glad I plucked up the courage to meet. She really is fabulous and we shared a sense of humour and love of cakes and words. Just great to meet a strong and intelligent woman who lives close enough to meet up with in the future, which Im sure we'll do . Plus our boys got on really well. We talked about a lot of things and mentioned kendallishere and berelaxed - two people we would both love to meet.

Then the boys and I went to see some friends in a nearby village who made us a lovely tea.

And when I got home I found out that the online magazine Ink Sweat and Tears, run by the poet Helen Ivory, has accepted my poem " Birds" for
publication. And she doesn't mind that I've blipped it. Oh, happy day. Im dead chuffed.
