The Art Of Working With Wood

My husband loves working with wood that people have given him or that he has picked up on his own.  He has been making canes for friends and he likes to try new things.  The technique that he use to finish this particular cane is a Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban that  involves using actual flames or torch as opposed to a wood-burning tool.  I think it is a wonderful piece of art and too pretty for Silly Saturday.  But, of course I did find some pareidolia which I will show you later in the extras!
