Sunset (iv)

I guess I just like sunsets...

Looking out my window, I noticed an orange sky over a building and so armed myself with my camera and went to have a look.

I managed to take a whole 3 photos before my camera battery gave up the ghost - I really need to buy a spare...
A lady on her way home form work had stopped to admire and take some photos of the sunset with her tea-tray iPad - it really does look ridiculous using one as a camera. We passed time of day - I think this is the first time that photography itself has been a conversation starter for me.

I've cheated and advanced the setting of the sun here in Photoshop, in lieu of taking a photo when my camera was dead. Any purpleness in the top-right corner can be blamed on me forgetting which monitor is which - although both my monitors are the same model, they use different TFT panels and one has vastly better colour rendering than the other, most noticeable in blues.

Also on my list of things I need to do is not put my camera away - it seems that the old adage of "out of sight, out of mind" really does hold true, especially when due to lectures and a busy day I'd really have to go out of my way to find something worth photographing.

Sorry for the terrible, clunky phrasing of this post - I'm really having trouble writing down what I actually want to say here, which is unusual for me.
