The last slice

Here we are. .. the chief sunbather taking advantage of the last drop of sunshine to be had on the sitting room floor this morning.  To be honest it was almost the last drop of sunshine for the day.  Poor Flossie is a little poorly.  She has been very sick for the past 48 hours.. l took her to the vet yesterday who gave her a thorough check over ... an anti sickness injection and some antacid.  I had not fed her all day so he suggested l gave her a little chicken with rice and if it stayed down to do the same a couple of hours later.. she refused the third small spoonful and this morning threw up again.  She has eaten a morsal of chicken but no rice today... and is very glum and quiet.  I hope she feels better again tomorrow.  I had heard of another dog in the village who had thrown up everything for three days but after a fast day was back to being more cheery.. so l guess little Flossie has picked up the same bug perhaps.  Yuck.  At least l have washed the sofa covers and the back door mat and they are nice and clean for now.
