A Garden Day

Lots of jobs overdue in the garden  got done today because it was mild and dry. A large bush with year round dark red leaves has developed some interesting autumn patterns . I've no idea what it is.  We had to make sure we were in for a friend cycling from Loweswater to Kendal. Our house is on the road east from the ferry across Windermere and she would need some refreshments before attacking Scout Scar and descending into Kendal.
