Raison d‘être

It’s that time of year again, making the dried fruit less dry with the addition of copious amounts of brandy, and as usual I struggled to find raisins. I don’t understand what the Germans have against them, sultanas and currants are everwhere but raisins? Almost more elusive than Nessie.
