I had a text this morning to let me know that my grandmother was in hospital, unlikely to wake up. An hour later she had gone. For reasons that are outside the remit for a blip I had not seen her for several years but for my father I am sad today.

An hour later we had another text, our cousin by marriage's father had passed away too this morning.

To them both and anyone else who left the party with them today - peace.

She was an excellent cook and very clever with words - fridge magnets seemed oddly appropriate.
