Cottage sketch. Swnt, Moelfre.

Drove to Anglesey today to have a look at an old cottage that is going into auction next month. It was very run down and hasn't been lived in for a few years but there was still plenty to like.

I took my sketchbook up with me thinking that I'd take the opportunity to do some sketching using the winter light. In the event I just took some photos and had a long walk along the beach.

Later, at home and inspired, I worked into a study that I started about 6 months ago (you can tell that the colours are too warm for this time of year). Not finished yet, but getting there.
