Rose

I was out for a meal today in Newcastle Under Lyme for my sister in laws' birthday.

My son came as well which was nice though not exactly relaxing! He charmed everyone there with his wonderful smile, which looks all the better with just 6 teeth! But as he's just learnt to walk he won't sit for long. No wonder, it's rather wonderful walking if you stop and think about it. It seems like only two minutes since he was a newborn, lying motionless and helpless in his moses basket. Incredible.

I enjoyed a lovely tapas and paella meal (in between bouts of following him around and waving at fellow diners in the restaurant). He shared some bits and was left with a tumeric stained nose to show for it! I was left with these flowers someone bought for my sister in law, because she was going on for a night out and preferred not to carry them.

I thought this rose was really nice. A lovely shade of pink with a faded red trim around the edge. Shame I have to give it back tomorrow!
