Redstart

Friday 15th November 2019

I had a full day off today! It took a while to wake up but then I travelled over to the Wirral to meet up with SueT. We started at Neston and had a lovely walk along the estuary and marsh land. We saw a variety of birds including the little egret and great egret. This chap, which I believe is a Redstart, was one of the most colourful and I had a feeling he would be my blip.

We stopped at a cafe for lunch, during which time the sun disappeared and the light faded considerably. After returning to the car we moved back to West Kirby for a walk around the marine lake. There was a gentle sunset and the light was lovely, picking up the detail on the sand, have a look at Sue's blip.

I've also backblipped the last few days. I still have two to sort and post then I will have caught up with mine. Hope to catch up with yours over the weekend.
