Better than expected

Mum in best place I’ve seen her in for a while now. It’s always been a bit hit and miss but thankful to have had such a tranquil time together today.

As usual snuck of for a quick scoop and gander round Wallingford’s well stocked charity shops. Amongst a load of interesting books picked up a dvd of The Commitments - such a great poignant feelgood film.

Most impressed with the makeover of Waitrose - it’s almost like they’re trying to turn it into a blinged-out hippy whole food store for SUV driving environmentalists. Gawd love ‘em. (I’ll be flying home tomorrow.)
