after several snowstorms - freezing temperatures as well as - freezing rain and frost - this rose has surprisingly - dried almost perfectly on its stem - when i went searching for - rosehips on the little - rose bushes out front - i’d hardly expected to find - such a rich treasure - as this suspended within - the branches

at first, i simply stared - not realizing what i was seeing - then grinned with joy - at the sheer excitement - of preservation which had - occurred despite weather conditions - what a find to make it...
