Fist pump

All went well. He went down to theatre at 7.30 this morning and wasn’t out until nearly 3!
Surgeon is happy. He’ll be in ICU overnight and then transferred to a high dependency unit for another day and then a ward for 5 days.
He’s in a lot of pain but his sense of humour is strong. When he was first woken but eyes closed and v groggy, he fist pumped us both, a nurse and shortly later, his surgeon.

He honestly felt that it was the day he was going to Heaven, which was a tear jerker for me to hear.
But today is over and we are so so grateful for the prayers of many many people and for Gods protection on his life, for amazing medical and nursing staff and for help on the home front,
