The Newlyn Fisherman

Amazing that we are actually here in Cornwall, despite a train cancellation, which involved a compensatory taxi journey from Penrith to Manchester Airport, despite a scary plane landing in high winds, despite our daughter having to drive through wind and water in order to pick us up from Newquay Airport.

Somehow we got here and are with our daughter and her husband and their dog in their newly purchased, and really lovely, cottage in Newlyn. We have all been down the road to a local pub for a fabulous meal. Now we are are ready for bed. It’s been a long, long day.
