Music week
It was a lovely day today, no wind, sun and about 7 degrees C. A brilliant day to change from summer to winter tires. I'm ready now.
There's an ongoing Music week in Kalmar this week, focused on "classical" music, meaning everything from Barock to contemporary music. Kalmar cathedral arranged a concert for their grand organ containing music by Swedish composers. written between 1911 till today. Some of the pieces were *very* loud. The organist warned us that it might be loud during the finale of the last piece where he was using the "compressor driven horn". It would have been interesting to measure the loudness of the music in deciBell, I'm pretty sure we were over the limit for rock music in concert venues during that finale. Impressive -and also very beautiful at times.
I decided to take the bus to Kalmar so I could have a beer in town while waiting for the bus home. I went to a Pub placed in the city wall. It's a lovely room, vault built and restored to its original condition.
