Adrian Moon
We have spent such a lovely day in York with our youngest granddaughter, Jenny who is home from Uni. for the week.
The BPWs will be pleased to know we went on the Zap Bus!
A miserably cold day, but fortunately we were well prepared with big scarves and hats.
We started with hot chocolate / coffee, before a wander round the Christmas Market
Then because of the weather decided on an early lunch in our favourite Italian restaurant, Lucia's.
By the time we came out it had started raining.
Had a look round one or two shops ( to warm up!) including this shop where Jenny made herself at home.
Adrian Moon was established in 1837. Weaving luxury woollen fabric from their mill in Guiseley near Leeds still to this day.
The fabric is now also used for furnishings, and can be found in places from hotels to Downing Street.
They had some lovely cosy throws and cushions. ( may go back for another look)
We had a look round the Christmas Shop, which is a rabbit warren of tiny rooms on three floors.
So much to choose from, we ended up without buying a thing!
By three o clock we decided to call it a day, and caught the bus back.
Finished off back home with tea and mince pies, which Jenny had bought us from Betty's.
My first mince pie. Christmas has now begun, and we had such an enjoyable day, despite the weather.
Extra family photo of George's graduation.yesterday.
