You Can Tell It's Chilly

The Penguins have arrived.

It was clear(ish) with some lovely light this morning - just a shame I was taking some rubbish shots and not doing it justice.
The colours in the pond were really super and the ice was  - nearly - thick enough to support the camera for this shot of the parrot fern weed. (No, I didn't have it get wet - I held it just touching the surface of the ice.)

SWMBO and I headed to the south of Edinburgh to get our holiday money (less than 2 weeks to lift-off) and then moved slightly east to get the free coffee and cake that the land of flowers were offering SWMBO for her birthday. We scored there - they had run out of regular cups so gave us large instead … and then it turned out they hadn't taken the free coffees off her card that we had yesterday.
