i like the free days, with no expectations

I've had such a nice day today despite not doing anything particularly exciting. Slept in til 10 which is pretty rare for me as I'm very much an early morning person. Guess this week has been pretty hardcore and I needed the sleep. I also decided to make a start on one of my new year's resolutions (to cook more from the cookbooks I own) and went food shopping. Hmmmm mind you, I didn't actually do any cooking as I had leftover Indian takeaway from last night that needed eating. But tomorrow I shall make something a bit exciting!

I also bought some new plants for the flat - including this bobbly one. I used to own a plant like this when I lived in Manchester that I really loved. It was called Eugene (after Eugene Kelly.) Anyway, Eugene died when I moved to London - he didn't really like the change of scenery I guess. A bit like me.

Things have changed, haven't they? So anyway, meet Eugene II :)
