Nonagon
hello irregular regulars,
We infrequently do the old geocaching thing. Infrequent is a good choice of word i think, as we have only discovered about 60 caches in about 10 years.
The committed geocacher can often find that amount in an afternoon, but we tend to go for the more puzzling ones, the ones with a something cryptic to add to the mix.
I stumbled across one the other day which essentially needed an understanding of binary, base 10, something to do with a code from a tv show, another mathematical theorem i've forgotten, morse code, and base 64.
It took ages to solve, and provided a warm glow of satisfaction once we had worked out all the various ciphers and clues.
I've yet to tell them i've forgotten the batteries for the GPS device though,
expect that'll be well received....
night all
