Medieval Maidstone
I had a meeting this afternoon in Maidstone, and as I had arrived a bit earlier than planned, I took another walk along the Medway River, this time on the opposing bank, and discovered this wonderful waterfront vista, of the medieval Archbishop's Palace and the neighbouring collegiate church.
These were all built in the 14th century and are probably very much as they looked when built, with a few minor alterations.
