nesting swans

at the lake by Mom's house. The dominant pair of swans there raised 4 babies last year, and this pair built a nest in this same area, but didn't hatch any babies. They were always getting chased away by the other male.(even though their nest was on the other side of the lake.)
We were glad to see they were trying again, and hope they have better luck. But besides the original other pair, now they will have to contend with the 4 grown last- year's babies.
I crept up on them while they were taking reeds out of the water for the nest, and tried not to bother them too much.
