Toots in Solitude

Video chasing

I still didn't feel altogether great today but felt fresh air and a walk would be beneficial so I set out on my quest to search out the mystery video film that evades me.
The new Bethany book shop was to open today where I might find some videos to look through so off I went.
Only I arrived at 10.30 and saw the notice in the window that it was to open at 12noon. Lots of people in the shop looked very busy still arranging books inside.
I slowly and weakly made my way to the foot of Leith Walk. In my nauseous state I didn't want coffee or any refreshments. I did find a cashmere and silk scarf for £2 which I wrapped around myself to cocoon myself further from the drizzly day that was rather low on temperature too.
I used all my strength to wander back up the hill reaching the shop just at 12 but the girl inside mimed that they needed 5 more minutes to finish up before opening. That was just too much for me, I was dropping. So I walked further up the road to my bus stop and waited, perched on the shelf of a seat, for the direct bus to take me home. No changing busses today, I just wanted home.

Perhaps, dear readers, I sound dramatic and rather hypochondriachal, judge for yourself whether this is for effect or true but I did enjoy reaching my sofa at last and lying out on its length.
