Revolving doors...
Backblipped
A busy day!
David and Kenny got up and headed to Edinburgh to meet up with Alan and play golf at the Royal Burgess. Ele and I had a more leisurely start, chatting over tea and toast.
Gail (the other golf widow) arrived just after midday and the three of us had lunch together.
We were joined by Jennifer, Nikki and Esme just before 2.30pm. They hadn't had lunch so quickly made some food for them.
Gail left just before 4pm and Kenny and David returned. They'd had a good but cold road of golf.
Ele and Kenny left as they were heading to a friend's son's 21st birthday party. They hadn't been gone long when nephew Andrew arrived straight from his work (are you keeping up?! :-))))
We had a lovely evening with them. Esme is a wee comedian. So, so funny. Joy personified in fact. She tucked into melon then my lasagne for dinner. Such a pleasure to see as her dad is such a fussy eater! He had left over beef stew from last night for dinner as lasagne is a bit exotic for him. He loves spaghetti bol though. Go figure!
Esme is always a bit unsure of Lola when she first arrives but by the end of the day they are best pals. So lovely (and funny) to watch.
I asked Ele if she would like some family photos as part of her birthday gift from me and she said yes so managed to get a date sorted that suits everyone, even Jennifer. So much easier now she doesn't work weekends. Hoping to do a Christmas photoshoot with Esme that day too (with her and Lola if possible) but that might be a big ask. May have to squeeze that in another day. Time is running out though!
Got lots of lovely hugs and kisses from Esme as she left. She really is a little star :-)))
