Sally Mair - Loving life

It's not Cleo, in fact this actually looks more like the lovely Maisie. This is a piece by Ingrid, of Bon Papillon fame. It's actually one of her prints which she has made into a birthday card and which Colin bought me back in July, along with a matching mug
I framed it, I do love the image it makes me smile every time I see it.
Today I went through to Lanark for a meeting. Google said it would take an hour and 2 minutes to travel the 29 miles, I didn't believe it, but it was right, most of the time spent getting onto the A70 and then out of Balerno. Once out of town though I drive at a good speed so I was really surprised to find how long such a short trip had taken.
The meeting was productive and I'm looking forward to our working together. Back home in time to do some shopping. I cooked a bolognaise sauce this afternoon to make into a lasagne to take to a friend's on Thursday, I do think they taste so much better with a couple of days to mature! I made a big pot of very orange carrot soup too. I've bought a bunch of coriander to add to some of it too. Very tasty.
