Extremes

The day started at 5.30 as we had to get Rob to the eye clinic in Skelmersdale first thing, for his first cataract surgery. Rather a wet drive, but we made it.
I had to spend 3 hours waiting, the shopping centre is dire!! But all went well and we were home by 2, to bake the honey biscuits ready for the honey show!
They came out the best so far and I was not ashamed of them.
So we trundled off to Kendal with honey, wax, cake and candles. An interesting talk on a natural way to keep bees, and then the results!
I was delighted to be presented with a rosette for the best novice jar of honey! And the biscuits came second and the lime honey also came second.
A few other cards too and we had a really fun evening, and forgot about the eye for a little while
