The Beaver Moon
Tonight’s full moon is called “ The Beaver Moon”.
The name comes from when North American Algonquian tribes would, using the first full moon in November, venture out to set beaver traps to secure warm furs for winter.
Must say I rather like this shot of it peeping through the clouds.
Quite a busy day.
I had my annual bloods taken this morning.
The chimney sweep came and now the log burner is ready for the winter.
I always move everything out of the way, but he is so careful, and doesn’t make any mess.
This afternoon I made a chocolate cake, filled with pears and cream for ours son’s birthday. Now a tradition.
( see extra). We took it over so they could have it as a dessert to eat after tonight’s evening meal.
It isn’t his birthday until tomorrow, but they will be in Sheffield at our grandson’s graduation.
Unfortunately it is Mums and Dads only.
We are going to celebrate the birthday and graduation on Sunday.
Looking forward to that.
