Softcell

We don't know how old Softcell is as he was rescued without any paperwork, but having had so many cats we tend to know when they start to age. He's been drinking a lot for a number of months and losing weight which is a sign of age and bad kidneys. He's also been acting a bit odd lately.

Last night he fell off a shelf he had made his own (see extra) and got stuck upside down between the microwave and window, hearing the commotion I rescued him but he started having a fit / panic attack. We managed to stop that, and he spent the night recovering in a large cage looking quite content. We got a vet appointment for this afternoon, so meowing all the way he was given the once over including a blood test. The blood test confirmed he has bad kidneys, everything else was fine considering his age. He's now home sleeping off his ordeal on the window sill (not the shelf!!).

A special diet awaits him.

I have also come down with a cold, which isn't great given our current situation.
