Late Fall Color

A few miles south of Northampton (marked on the map). Captured from the van taking us from Boston, through the windshield just behind the driver.  The color was probably near its peak when we left nearly two weeks ago, but now it has reached its final stage.  The house was very chilly (54F) when we arrived, following a few cold days.  We went to the supermarket for a cold lunch which we ate in our overcoats :) 

Posted the next day, since we had our bird club meeting in the evening.
