Poppies

I'm not a fan of "yarn-bombing", or some of the more ostentatious Remembrance installations one sees these days, but I thought these crochet poppies in the main street were timely and tasteful. That they are now somewhat sodden by all the rain that's fallen in the week since they were put up only adds to the poignancy.
