Flood defences

We were looking at furniture in Mytholmroyd this afternoon, the shop had been one of the casualties of the flooding in the Calder valley in 2012 and again in 2015. The company decided to demolish the existing building and build one which could cope better with any future flooding. From one of the upper windows you get a good view of some of the flood defence work being carried out in the valley to protect the town and its residents and businesses in the future.
