Top up Tap.

Recently installed in the park; proving popular - we often see it in use when oot n aboot.

The Tap is an output from a previous Scottish Government Programme - the purpose of which was to encourage people to “Top up from the Tap,” using their own refillable bottles etc, thereby helping to cut down on the use of plastics, whilst saving money by not buying bottled water. A winner as far as we’re concerned!

The Tap also emphasises Scottish Water’s award winning “Your Water, Your Life” campaign, where the benefits of hydration through Scottish Water’s renowned quality water are central.

The first Tap was installed outside the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh last September and more have followed since. The initiative has gathered a fair bit of momentum and interest.
