Wound up in Wexford

Salvia

Back blipped on 11th November.

When we were at the Pensthorpe Plant Day, we treated ourselves to several Salvia, to give us some autumn colour.  It's certainly working this autumn - they are all still flowering.  It remains to be seen whether they survive the winter - we tried to select varieties that were relatively hardy.

Also going strong are our Bishop of Llandaff dahlias (which have to take their chances outside, we never lift the corms).  We've a little burst of cyclamen hederifolium in one corner.  And the winter flowering jasmine is just starting to show some flowers.

Another day of showers.  But much less rain than in certain other parts of the country.
