Catkin from the Alder tree

A few years ago the electricity board asked if they could dig a trench
on our land we were obliging because we hadn't sewn the species
rich grasses and wild flower seeds, they very kindly planted quite
a few trees around the ponds for free !!Alder and Willow, the trees have
grown well, except the deer have frayed a couple, so we just put
wire round them, the catkins are so sweet to look at.
Our Tinternet is shite at the moment and mr L has been and
done everything he can think of, so the engineer is coming out next
week, the problem is not in the house so that's a relief.
We have had sleet and snow and rain all day, but the snow hasn't
laid so that's good, due more over the next few days hey ho..
